Enable Remote Access from WIFI AP Mode

How to Enable Remote Access on AcuLink 810 via WIFI AP Mode


The following document provides users with a procedure on how to enable remote access on the AcuLink 810 using the WIFI Access Point broadcasting from the gateway.  This procedure uses a laptop to connect to the WIFI network, however the same can be done using a smartphone.

  1. Using a smartphone or laptop, check for available WIFI networks.  The AcuLink 810 WIFI network will have the following SSID:

AcuLink810-WIFI-S8Pxxxxxxxx

  1. Once the network is discovered, click on it to join.  The password for the network is accuenergy.









  1. After connecting to the network successful, the network should say “No Internet, secured” as per the image below.









  1. Next open an internet browser (Google Chrome/Firefox recommended).  Enter the following IP address:

192.168.100.1




  1. The following web page will be observed saying the “Connection is not private”.













  1. Click on the “Advanced” button and then select “Proceed to 192.168.100.1 (unsafe).






























  1. Next you will be redirected to the following login page.













  1. The username and password to access the web interface is admin/admin.
















  1. The following dashboard will be seen.










  1. To enable remote access, click on the “System Settings” tab and select “Remote Access”.
















11. Enable “Remote Access” and click on “Save”. 

















  1. After the setting is saved, click on “Manual Register”. 





















  1. After the registration the status will be offline, click on the “Refresh Status” button.






















  1. The status will change to online, and the remote access URL will be available. 















  1. Use the remote access URL to access the meter remotely.
