Shunt Configuration



AcuDC 240 Series - Shunt Configuration


The following document shows users how to configure the shunt related settings from the meters display.

When using a shunt with the AcuDC 240 series meter, the circuit must be broken to install the shunt in series.

Configuring the shunt settings on the meter



Press ‘F’ and ‘V/A’ simultaneously to activate the parameter setting mode.

The first screen seen will be a password screen.  This can be left athe default which is “0000”.  Press ‘V/A’ to continue.

Press ‘V/A’ until the '1 in' screen is reached.  This is the rated current input configuration of the shunt.
 
To configure this value for the current input press 'F' to enter edit mode.  You will see the '0' on the second line flashing.
 
Press 'F' to increase the digit or press 'V/A' to move to the next digit.
 
For example, a current input of '50A' would read '0050' on the meter display.
 
Once the value is set press 'V/A' to confirm the setting.

Press ‘V/A’ until the ‘1 o’ screen is reached.  This is the shunt output signal configuration screen of the meter.

NOTE: The AcuDC 240 series meter can only accept 50-100mV shunt output signals.  

NOTE: Accuenergy supplied shunts have a 75mV output.
 

To configure this value for the shunt output press ‘F’ to enter edit mode.

You will see the left most digit flashing, press ‘F’ to increase the digit.

Press ‘V/A’ to move to the next digit.
 
Once the correct value is set press ‘V/A’ to confirm the setting.

Once the setting is complete you can press ‘F’ and ‘V/A’ to exit the parameter settings mode and get back to the metering screen.
